12th Front Range Advanced Magnetics Symposium
Colorado School of Mines, Golden
August 8, 2026
The Front Range Advanced Magnetics Symposium (FRAMS) is a meeting for researchers working in magnetics, primarily in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains (the American states of Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and surrounding areas). The mission of this annual meeting (first held at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO in 2015) is to foster and enhance interactions among researchers from nearby institutions and thereby strengthen the overall magnetics program in the Front Range. Each year, the symposium location rotates to a different host institution.
FRAMS also serves as a social and networking event. Faculty and staff members, including post-doctoral research fellows, make oral presentations on their recent work. Graduate, undergraduate, and even high-school Students participate in poster sessions. Undergraduate students can learn about opportunities for graduate research, and graduate students can follow leads for postdoctoral positions in the Front Range. We also enthusiastically welcome our industry partners.
The 12th Front Range Advanced Magnetics Symposium will be held in the ballrooms of the Student Center at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The program is comprised of oral presentations (including two invited talks and short talks from industry sponsors) and a poster session, all of which will be held in person. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the meeting site. We will also provide complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the poster session.
